Dave Hill Tattoo Machines

Dave Hill is a veteran tattoo artist and a craftsmen. First exposed to machine building by his early mentor, Hill began making tattoo machines out of necessity, to make one that performed the way he wanted it to.

Fellowship caught up with Dave Hill in Karnak, Illinois where he still tattoos and makes his machines, something he has continued to master over the years. Hill acknowledges the extra “something” that goes into a great machine; the passion beyond the skill set, the love, the time, and the hand that makes it. Hill sources his material locally and is proud to keep it 100% American made.
